Emblematic of Alsace, the white stork suffered a dramatic decline in the 1970s, verging on extinction. It is thanks to the commitment and hard work of enthusiasts, that it has made a comeback and today once again populates the skies of Alsace.

A veritable "stork village", the Écomusée d'Alsace has the largest colony in the region! In June, nesting is in full swing: the perfect opportunity to observe this beautiful wader. During this guided tour, take part in the construction of a nest, observe the storks and their parents, listen to the famous crackling sounds... and you'll leave with your favorite feather!
